DANCE FOR LOVE
(CD) release 2004
July 21, 2004
Eddie Mottau has released his newest CD, ‘DANCE FOR LOVE’; a collaboration with long-time friends Bob Drew and Jimmy Clark. It is a smart mix of ragtime and contemporary vocal ballading (most of the material is original) and I suspect you’ll be stunned by the crystal clear acoustic guitar, sure-handed percussion and melodic bass.
-noel paul stookey
This “backyard testimony” of original ballads and ragtime tributes was again co-produced and mastered by Jim Mason, who said of the trio, (and referring to some of the songs on the CD) they are, “seasoned veterans who handle the deep-pocket, laid-back grooves of ‘Hop Scop’ to the beautifully tender ‘Fell in Love Again’ with grace and ease that comes only to musicians with years of experience.”
